Alvin and Zhili’s Carnival @ Marina Bay Sands
We had a really fun time with this interesting and quirky couple. Alvin and Zhili met each other in University and were part of their Hall’s band. Their love blossomed with music. This wedding was also the first wedding in the newly opened Marina Bay Sands and as the couple had wanted their guests to arrive early, we planned an activities-and-goodies filled mini function during their cocktail reception. There was a popcorn stand, candy floss machine, balloon sculpturist, profile cutter, desserts bar, sweets corner and several photo taking corners in the room that also had life-size standees of the couple on display. The couple was also game enough to be unconventional in their wedding decorations, for example, trading typical wedding floral stands and backdrops with an almost all white surrealistic park setting on stage. The only items that shouted out on stage were a rainbow kite on a white tree, a colourful quilt on the white garden swing, and a bunch of party helium balloons floating above the set.
It was fun planning for this wedding, together with such an interesting concept. To round it up, the couple and their friends surprised everyone with a 15minutes gig on a hidden stage that only opened up during the finale of the wedding reception!
